Three of six separated GD MPs to quit parliamentary posts

Three MPs out of six who quitted the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party earlier today will have to resign from the parliamentary posts as the GD nominated all six of them.

Giorgi Khojevanishvili served as the First Deputy Chairman of the Self-government Committee, Alexandre Motserelia was the First Deputy Chairman of the Agrarian Affairs Committee, and Beka Liluashvili – the First Deputy Chairman of the Sectoral Committee.

Six MPs quitted the ruling party earlier today, having explained the decision by GD’s failure to solve the immediate challenges facing the country.

Giorgi Khojevanishvili, Beka Liluashvili, Ana Buchukuri, Alexander Motserelia, Mikheil Daushvili, and Shalva Kereselidze pledge to set up a new party with the former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
