The Minister of Justice of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani says that she has questions regarding the pardoning criteria of the President.
According to Tea Tsulukiani, several weeks ago the President of Georgia made changes in pardoning rules, according to which pardoning of the persons who are involved in various corruption offences and serving their sentences for various crimes has been simplified.
“I hope that such changes will not affect the international ratings of Georgia, as a country successful fighting against the corruption. As the Minister of Justice I have questions regarding the pardoning criteria of the President”, – Tsulukiani said.
To the question whether the investigation into pardon cases should be investigated, Tsulukiani responds that if there are any specific facts, it should be studied.
