The right of secret balloting is fully protected in the country, and nobody will interfere in making a free choice – Tamar Chugoshvili, First Vice Speaker of the Parliament said during the briefing at Georgian Dream Party office.

According to Chugoshvili, both political forces are mobilizing their supporters within the framework of the law, and party coordinators have no private data of the voters.

She also said that promotion outside polling stations was allowed by law. “The most important is the protection of the secret balloting right when the voter enters a polling station,” Chugoshvili stated.

The second round of 2018 presidential elections is being held in Georgia today. Two candidates are running in the second round of 2018 presidential elections:

  1. Grigol Vashadze  (5) – “United National Movement”
  2. Salome Zurabishvili (48) – Initiative Group of Voters

Unlike the first tour of elections, there is no 50% barrier in the second round. The candidate, who receives more votes in the second round, will become President of Georgia.
