Tamar Chugoshvili: First week of Spring Session will be example of what should be expected from parliament in coming years

The first week of the Spring Session 2019 will be a remarkable example of what kind of work we should expect from parliament in the coming years, – Tamar Chugoshvili, Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament told the First Channel.

According to Vice Speaker, the Parliament starts working in a new environment and it will be completely different from what it was before.

“Tomorrow we begin our activities in a completely new environment. Tomorrow the Georgian parliament will be completely different from what we all are accustomed to. Parliament will report to the public on its implemented works and what it plans to do in future”, – said Tamar Chugoshvili.

According to Tamar Chugoshvili, hearings of two Ministers are scheduled at the parliament in the current week. MPs will listen to Minister of Education, Science, Sport and Culture Mikhail Batiashvili and the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili.

As Chugoshvili notes, the parliament will perform its supervisory function each sessional week. “The public is interested in how the economy is developing, what happens in terms of security and justice in the country. All these questions will be answered”, – Vice Speaker added.

The Spring Session 2019 will be open tomorrow, on the first Tuesday of February according to the Rules of Procedure.
