Taking practical test to be possible within 1-year-term after passing theoretical test for obtaining driving license

Taking a practice test will be possible within 1-year-term after passing a theoretical test for obtaining a driving license – Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) prepared the change that has already been submitted to the Georgian parliament in the form of a legislative package.

The term was limited to 30 days before. Also, a two-stage practical test will be introduced for obtaining a driving license – The corresponding change is proposed to be made into Law on Road Movement. The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is the author of the amendment.

Based on the draft-project, the first stage of a practical test envisages carrying out special maneuvers in a closed examination territory. The second test will be taken under conditions of real traffic movement on a route approved by the MIA.

Introduction of the two-stage practical testing aims at ensuring traffic security and reduction of road accidents.
