Symbolic capsule laid in foundation of new GPB building

A symbolic capsule was enclosed in the foundation of the new building of the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

Today is the 64th anniversary of the Georgian Public Broadcaster. This very day symbolically coincided with laying a capsule in the new building foundation, General Director of the First Channel of Georgia, Tinatin Berdzenishvili noted.

“Today is the birthday of the Public Broadcaster. It is 64 years old. We decided not to miss this opportunity and symbolically enclose a capsule. It is a very emotional day for GPB staff as we have been listening for decades that GPB is to relocate from our 55-year-old building. The power of the media is the word. We thought about what we could put in the capsule so that it was not just a thing. We decided on the messages in which GPB employees expressed their wishes,” Tinatin Berdzenishvili said.
