The start of the educational process in schools and universities in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Gori and Poti has been postponed until October 1, announced the Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia.

The educational process in the aforementioned towns will start remotely from September 15, and in the classrooms and auditoriums from October 1, noted Gakharia.

“It is necessary for us to properly assess the current risks and for this, we need two weeks together with epidemiologists. After that, we will make additional decisions,” stated PM.

Georgia has reported 87 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 917, according to stopcov.ge.
