There is no Measles epidemic in Georgia at this stage; however 136 cases have already fixed. The specialists call on population to take vaccinations against Measles.

Lika Jibladze, Head of the Immune Prevention Department of Disease Control and Public Health Center spoke about the importance of vaccination during the interview with the First Channel.

Jibladze says that based on the last week’s data, a total of 136 cases of Measles have been fixed in Georgia. The majority of those infected (101 cases) are from Adjara region.
