Salome Zurabishvili on Saakashvili statement: Calling for disorder and unrest is an offense to the state, a crime

Calling for disorder and unrest is an offense to the state, a crime, – the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili assesses the statement of former President Mikheil Saakashvili when he argued his supporters to be on attack “We must be on attack, attack, and only attack”.

“Such an outright unconstitutional and anti-state declaration from a previous president forces me to express my bewilderment and outright disapproval while I have refrained up to now, due to my nonpartisan status, from any comments or interference in the electoral process. The same is required from any former President whether or not in function, whether in our outside the country. Calling for disorder and unrest is an offense to the state, a crime when your territory is occupied!”, – Salome Zurabishvili wrote on her facebook page.
