Russia registers 4,785 new Covid-19 cases, 110 deaths in past 24 hours

Russia registered 4,785 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the operative headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

The daily growth in new coronavirus cases has been below 5,000 in Russia for five consecutive days. Russia registered 4,828 new coronavirus cases on August 19, and 4,748 on August 18, as yet another lowest indicator since late April.

The cumulative number of coronavirus cases stands at 942,106 in Russia, and as many as 755,513 patients have recovered by now (including 6,090 discharged from hospitals over the past day).

According to the headquarters, 110 patients died over the past day, bringing the total coronavirus death toll to 16,099. As many as 224,167 people remain under medical observation, as reported by Interfax.
