A regional factory of Stadler Rail AG, also known as Stadler Rail Group, Swiss manufacturer of railway rolling stock, with an emphasis on regional train multiple units and trams, will be built in Georgia.

According to Tbilisi City Hall, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Stadler and Georgian Railway Company. “Georgia will have modern subway and railway carriages and construction of the factory will create job places,” Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor stated.

Georgia will supply the region with high-standard carriages. Stadler is headquartered in Bussnang.
