Public Actor Kakhi Kavsadze turned 85

The well-known Public Actor of Georgian cinema and theater Kakhi Kavsadze has turned 85 today.

Kavsadze debuted in cinema in the 1950s. He was awarded People’s Artist (1981) and Festival Prize winner of the city of Dushanbe (1989).

His notable roles include Adam (Divine Comedy), Tavadi Kotsia (Gushindelni), Devdariani (Sabraldebo daskvna), Iliko (Me, Grandma, Iliko and Ilarion), Simon Chachava (The Caucasian Chalk Circle), Lord (Richard III), Kent (King Lear) and Rasputin (Kvachi Kvachantiradze), etc.

Kakhi Kavsadze’s star was unveiled in front of Shota Rustaveli Theater in 2008.
