A protest rally is underway in Mestia. The protesters have blocked the entrance to Mestia.

They demand the release of four people accused of beating Temur Shubitidze, a member of the Georgian Dream, otherwise, they will not open the road.

Protesters say all four detainees are civil activists fighting against the construction of HPPs.
