Prosecutor’ Office to launch investigation in covert recordings case

Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation in covert recordings case. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, all the necessary investigative activities will be carried out to determine the authenticity of the material and lawfulness of its release. The recording will be subjected to the expertise.

 

On March 6, TV Pirveli released a secret audio recording, according to which, Bera Ivanishvili (son of the former GD party Chair) together with Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, ordered the punishment of several people, including a child, because of unwanted comments in the social network.
