Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze congratulated the Jewish people on Hanukkah holiday.

PM expresses hope that friendship between the Georgian and Jewish nations will be recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.

“I have the honor to congratulate the Jewish people on Hanukkah holiday. This day is a symbol of victory for the Jewish people. On this day, lighting up a candle is the symbol that hope exists.

The Head of Government emphasized 26 centuries of friendship between the Georgian and Jewish nations.

“This is a completely unique case. We hope that UNESCO will recognize our friendship as an intangible cultural heritage. This friendship really deserves it”, – Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.
