President: Signed agreement means much for political progress

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili thanked President of the European Council Charles Michel for made efforts to reach a compromise agreement between the Georgian political parties.

During a press conference held after the meeting with Charles Michel at the Orbeliani Palace, President Zourbabichvili said the dynamics, which began yesterday, continued and would soon turn into a victory, foremost for Georgia.

“First of all, the agreement has big significance for the public, which was tired of polarization, confrontation and endless chaos. It was insulted because these were not the values that Georgia had and should have. Today, the Georgian public feels relief because it is a victory day,” Zourabichvili claimed.

The Georgian political parties signed a compromise agreement, A Way Ahead for Georgia, submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
