President pardons 83 inmates

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili pardoned 83 prisoners – Zviad Koridze, Chairman of State Pardoning Commission stated.

During a press conference Koridze reported that the 40 inmates will have left penitentiary facilities by the end of today. The 43 inmates were reduced prison term.

Among the pardoned people are three women, one minor and one inmate serving life sentences.

The State Pardoning Commission discussed cases of 858 prisoners during July 23-27.
