Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with journalists that Turkey had the same right to be involved in a peaceful resolution of the armed conflict over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region as Russia.
“Turkey is as interested in a peaceful resolution in the region as Russia,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
President said that Armenia supported Russia’s involvement in the conflict resolution, while Azerbaijan was in favor of Turkey’s being engaged in the process.
“Both Moscow and Ankara should be present at a negotiations table,” Turkish President said. He added that Russia has no claims over Turkey’s engagement in negotiations.
