President of Georgia to address PACE

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will start her working visit to the Council of Europe today.

As Presidential Administration reports, at the invitation of the CoE, President of Georgia, as Head of State, which chairs the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, will address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. After giving the speech, Zurabishvili will answer questions of PACE lawmakers.

Salome Zurabishvili will meet with the senior officials of the Council of Europe, including Hendrik Daems, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Dunja Mijatović, Commissioner for Human Rights and Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos, President of the European Court of Human Rights.

Within the framework of her working visit to Strasbourg, Salome Zurabishvili will take part in an event dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance.

A presentation of the three-volume book about Georgian culture, history, folklore and ethnography will also be held at the Palace of Europe, where President of Georgia will address the Georgian authorities, representatives of the Council of Europe and invited guests. Finally, an official reception will be held on behalf of the President of Georgia.
