President of Georgia believes that Geneva Format does not respond to Georgia’s needs

The abduction of Georgian citizen Irakli Kvaratskhelia and his death with violent methods is the harsh violation of the international law and the crime committed against the Georgian statehood – Khatia Moistsrapishvili, Press Speaker of President voiced the standpoint of President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili during the briefing.

According to Moistsrapishvili, President believes that all international floors have to be used to raise alarm over the issue of deaths of Georgian citizens in the occupied regions.

President considers that Geneva internationally mediated talks do not respond to Georgia’s needs and that a new format of negotiations should be established to lead a high-level political dialog.

“We represent a country which rejected military confrontation. A political dialog is the only way out, but this political dialog should be led constantly, permanently and with use of all the available tribunes,” Moistsrapishvili said.
