President of European Council and Georgian President meet (Video)

President of the European Council Charles Michel and Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili are holding a meeting at the Orbeliani Palace.

Charles Michel is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, as well as Georgian Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze and representatives of political parties at the supreme legislative body later on.

At the end of the day, Salome Zourabichvili will host a dinner for the President of the European Council. Charles Michel will leave Georgia tomorrow morning.

The Georgian political parties signed a compromise agreement, A Way Ahead for Georgia, submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.

President Michel presented a new document to the political parties on April 18. According to a new document, if the ruling party wins less than 43 per cent of electoral support in local polls, early parliamentary elections will be called in 2022. Also, within 2 weeks following signing the agreement, the sides have to discuss politically motivated cases.
