President of European Council arrives in Georgia

Donald Tusk, President of the European Council arrived in Georgia. Tusk is visiting Batumi city of seaside Adjara region. Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani and Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of Adjara Government welcomed President of the European Council at the Batumi International Airport.

Donald Tusk, President of the European Council will open the International Conference “Ten years of Valued Partnership – Passed Way and Perspectives” which will take place on July 11-12 in Batumi city of Adjara region. The Batumi International Conference is dedicated to the 10thanniversary of the establishment of the Eastern Partnership Initiative.

The Eastern Partnership is a joint initiative of the European External Action Service of the European Union together with EU, its Member States, and six Eastern European Partners governing its relationship with the post-Soviet states of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
