President of Georgia and Chairperson of the Pardon Commission will make a special announcement tomorrow – President Administration reported. According to the Press Service, the statement will refer to the Barnovi murder case. The murder accused person V.B. was serving his sentence over domestic violence crime and was pardoned by the President several months ago.
Yesterday, police detained V.B. for the brutal murder of young woman at Barnovi Street in Tbilisi. Murder occurred on April 13. Investigation is underway on the fact of premeditated murder under the article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
In 2015 the detainee was charged under 117 and 276 Articles of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving intentional grave injury to a family member and violation of traffic safety rules. He was pardoned by President and was released early in 2017.
