President of Judo Federation resigned

Davit Kevkhishvili, President of Georgian Judo Federation resigned from post – Kevkhishvili released the information in social network.

Kevkhishvili reiterated his respect to employees, coaches, and representatives of clubs and judo fans. He said he could have resigned earlier but did not do so due to interests of judo.

“I am quitting the position to give chance to every judo wrestler to lead activities in peaceful environment and call on them not to become victims of provocations. I am sure the latest projects will bring big success to Georgian judo and our country,” Kevkhishvili wrote.

Judo wrestlers demanded resignation of Kvkhishvili during several weeks and held several protests.
