President-elect Salome Zurabishvili confirms that inauguration will be held in Telavi

Georgia’s President-elect Salome Zurabishvili confirms that the inauguration ceremony will be held in Telavi city of eastern Kakheti region of Georgia.

In an interview with journalists, Zurabishvili said that work continued over the details and that foreign delegations would be invited to the ceremony.

“Invitations will be sent to the foreign delegations. Representatives of all countries, with which Georgia has diplomatic relations, will be invited. It is upon them to decide who will then attend the event. Georgia’s outgoing president Giorgi Margvelashvili will attend the ceremony, of course,” Zurabishvili said.

The inauguration ceremony of the 5^th President of Georgia will be held on December 16, 2018.
