Police to handle facemask rule breaches in public transport

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze pledges everything is ready to resume public transport throughout Georgia from February 8.

Mayor stressed the importance of a facemask rule during the journey.

“If a person does not wear a facemask, the bus will not run. On top of that, the face mask rule breaches will deal with the police,” Kaladze stressed.

Effective February 8, public transport will recommence throughout Georgia. Busses, minibusses, and underground will operate in the Georgian capital Tbilisi till 9 pm every day except for weekends.
