PM: 'Work from Georgia' program exceeded all expectations

More than 200 applications have already been received from around the world – including from the United States, Singapore, etc. – within the framework of Work from Georgia, – Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at a government meeting today.

The head of the government noted that the results of the program have exceeded expectations.

“Work From Georgia – for some reason, many of us took a skeptical view of this initiative of the National Tourism Administration. The essence of the program is that since Georgia is among the most successful countries in terms of managing the virus, we offered the citizens of 95 countries to continue their work remotely from Georgia for no less than 180 days. I am instructing the National Tourism Administration to pay special attention to this program and to further enhance the possible benefits that it might bring to the Georgian economy and, first and foremost, to Georgia, as a green and virus-free country,” the Prime Minister noted.
