Anaklia Project has full support from the Georgian government, and we welcome if the American company reaffirms its consent to participate in the project – Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia told journalists.

“We see Anaklia as the project that confirms strategic partnership between Georgia and the U.S. and of course, we welcome all strong and large American companies, which express interest to participate in the project,” Gakharia said.

Conti International Investment Company will remain a shareholder of Anaklia Deep Water Port Project – Anaklia Development Consortium released the information on October 25.

The Georgian government gave the Consortium the opportunity to use all the available resources and fulfill the financial obligations with the use of both its own capital and finances from international banks by the end of 2019 to carry out the project.
