PM visited construction of Qvevrebi Hotel in Telavi

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia visited Qvevrebi Hotel being under construction with support of the governmental program “Host in Georgia” in Telavi city of eastern Kakheti region.

The hotel is expected to host tourists next year.  It will have 29 rooms out of which 20 will have the shape of a qvevri (wine vessel). It will also have a conference hall.

PM claimed that development of tourism was important for the country, which would gain the status of safe tourist destination. According to Gakharia, adventure, ecologic, agro and wine tourist had to be further developed in Georgia.

The Head of the government visited Telavi together with Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili and Kakheti Regional Governor Irakli Kadagishvili.
