PM- Visa-liberalization is the greatest political step and confidence towards Georgia

We are proud that Georgia has achieved visa-liberalization in EU / Schengen zone countries, but it is not just the right for visa-free travel, but the greatest political step and confidence of the European Union towards Georgia,- Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the Cabinet meeting.

“Tomorrow, on March 28, there is the first anniversary of obtaining visa liberalization. This is the greatest achievement of our country, the result of the steps taken by the government, but at the same time, the outcome of the European choice of our population.

Therefore, we are proud that Georgia has achieved that our citizens are able to move freely in the EU / Schengen zone countries, but this is not just a visa free travel, it is a great political step and confidence from the European Union towards Georgia. Once again, I would like to thank all of our partners, our friends, who have taken this step towards us. At the same time, this is a huge responsibility,” Kvirikashvili said.

According to him, the steps taken by the Georgian authorities will have consequences necessary to ensure the prevention of increase the number of persons who violate the visa regime.
