There are no political prisoners in Georgia! – Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said when responding to the question of journalists about the open letter of a Member of the European Parliament Andrius Kubilius.

He said the government would fulfill the March 8 agreement. “There are no political prisoners in Georgia! There is no political justice in Georgia! As for our obligations, the government will fulfill all the obligations it has undertaken before its strategic partners,” Gakharia said.

MEP Andrius Kubilius sent an open letter to Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze, urging the Georgian government to fulfill the March 8 agreement with the opposition.

The MEP said in the letter that, unfortunately, the cases of Gigi Ugulava, Irakli Okruashvili and Giorgi Rurua had not been duly resolved.
