Parliament Vice-Speaker: Opposition wants to present themselves as politically restricted politicians

First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volski believes no one can say in advance what decision the parliament would make regarding the renounced by opposition mandates.

According to him, the issue is related not only to the procedures but also to the parliament’s future and effectiveness.

“A big question arose after we the opposition representatives insisted the termination of authority should be urgently resolved. The impression remains as if everyone is waiting to present themselves as politically restricted political figures and to speculate on this topic in the international arena,” Gia Volski said.

The First Vice-Speaker further elaborated on the opposition boycott: “No election is in the interest of the opposition. It is a matter of destabilizing what Saakashvili has been preaching since 2014.”
