Parliament Vice-Speaker Levan Ioseliani: Most voters need quality of life change

According to the Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Levan Ioseliani, the self-government elections will not turn into a referendum. Ioseliani believes it is wrong to focus on general political issues while people have specific problems to solve.

He added over half of the Georgian population dispute the need for early elections, as recent polls show.

“Most voters want a change that reflects in the quality of their daily lives. These are local government elections. If the opposition wins a significant presence in many cities, it will be a victory for the opposition, and thus the problems will be solved faster, more effectively. That would be much more interesting for people that discussing things far from the people’s daily lives,” Ioseliani said.
