Parliament to vote for constitutional amendments in the second reading tomorrow

The Parliament of Georgia will vote for the package of constitutional amendments in the second reading tomorrow, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze stated at today’s sitting of the Bureau.

Archil Talakvadze noted that the parliament has a very busy agenda in the current plenary week.

The Chairman of the Parliament added that a package of amendments to the Electoral Code based on the OSCE recommendations will also be initiated at tomorrow’s session.

The Draft Constitutional Law on the Electoral System was adopted with the first reading yesterday.

The Georgian Parliament, with 136 votes against 5 adopted the draft Constitutional Law.

The Faction “National Movement” was absent during the voting.
