Parliament Speaker to meet Moldovan counterpart in Greece

Georgian Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava met his Moldovan counterpart, Igor Grosu, during his visit to Greece.

The two Speakers discussed closer cooperation between the Georgian and Moldovan parliaments. European integration and the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit were in focus during the meeting between the representatives of the Associated Trio’s two countries.

The parties initiated holding the Associated Trio meeting ahead of the EaP to elaborate a joint action strategy and “add synergy to the European integration agenda.”

“We want to receive a signal, and this is important not only for politicians but also for people who want to be a part of the European space, benefit and contribute to European culture or economy. We agreed to develop a common position before the summit,” said Igor Grosu, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.
