Parliament Speaker – Statement of Shalva Natelashvili explains why part of the opposition did not support new election system

Archil Talakvadze, Speaker of the Parliament said that the statement made by Labor Party Leader Shalva Natelashvili about turning down of the election system is the second one that explains why one part of the opposition did not support Constitutional Amendments and a new election system.

According to Talakvadze, the statement indicates on a coordinated plan with representatives of parliamentary National Movement and European Georgia parties. “The promise that we made by March 8 Agreement will be met and we will approve Constitutional Amendments,” Talakvadze said.

“If Constitutional Changes are turned down, we will get rid of the government sooner. The opposition should not participate in voting process,” Natelashvili claimed.
