Parliament initiates Interim Commission of Inquiry into October 31 elections

The Parliament of Georgia has registered a resolution to establish an interim commission of inquiry into the October 31 parliamentary elections, leader of the parliamentary majority Mamuka Mdinaradze declared.

“The precondition stands. If someone finds a one-percent falsity and deviation in the election results in favor of the Georgian Dream following the investigation, we will hold early elections,” Mdinaradze declared.

The chairman of the Georgian Dream faction added it is an excessive honor for the opposition to make so many pleas to enter the parliament. Mdinaradze called on the opposition to submit their arguments on election fraud to the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry.

“It is too much begging. Come on in! We invite you. It is an unnecessary honor for them to beg so much. However, if they still have any argument to support the false narrative as if the election was rigged, I would repeat, present these arguments to the commission, or apologize to your voters for so bitterly deceiving them,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
