Paata Imnadze: Use of air conditioners poses a risk amid pandemic

According to Paata Imnadze, Deputy Head of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), using air conditioners in offices, banks, shops and indoor units poses a high risk of spreading coronavirus.

As Paata Imnadze stated, if the air conditioner does not take in outside air, it won’t be allowed to turn on.

Imnadze added that most air conditioners take air and re-circulate it through the room, which is dangerous.

“I know, the summer will be hot. It will be hard for us not to turn on air conditioners, but still, we are not allowed to do so,” Imnadze said.
