Out of 170 new cases of coronavirus, 124 are related to Adjara and 20 to Tbilisi

According to the medical director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Marina Ezugbaia, out of 170 new cases of coronavirus detected in Georgia, 124 are related to Batumi and 20 to Tbilisi.

“Today we have 170 new cases.  88 are contacts with confirmed cases, 50 are related to travel history, four confirmed in quarantine areas, and the rest are cases confirmed in COVID centers whose contacts are being investigated.

Based to the regions, 170 cases are distributed as follows: Adjara, Batumi – 124, Tbilisi – 20, Imereti, Kutaisi – 13, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Zugdidi – 6, Guria, Ozurgeti – 3, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Mtskheta – 3, Racha-Lechkhumi Kvemo Svaneti, Tsageri – 1,” – Ezugbaia said.

The number of recovered patients has increased by 11. At this stage, 1154 patients are being treated in COVID centers.
