Opposition to sign declaration about illegitimacy of new parliament

Giorgi Gugava, a member of the Labor Party, says that the withdrawal of party lists by the opposition and the renouncing of parliamentary seats will speed up the process of holding new elections.

The opposition is going to hold the most important event. Three important documents would be signed, Gugava said.

The first is a declaration by which the opposition rejects the legitimacy of the new parliament. The second is the demand for snap elections. The third would be a statement on the withdrawal of party lists and renouncing the MP mandates, signed by opposition members, Gugava said.

According to the Labor party member, the event would take place in the backyard of the National Youth Palace simultaneously with the parliament session.
