The Georgian government has never stopped providing medical service to locals of occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions despite pandemic – Office of State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality said.

The carried out work included provision of information materials about COVID-19 virus, recommendations and preventive measures in Abkhazian and Ossetian languages; special web-page stopcov.ge became available in these languages; Online consultations were ongoing for local doctors, the mission of World Health Organization was dispatched to Abkhazia to evaluate the current situation, medicines and hygienic items are provided to occupied Abkhazia through international organizations.

Also based on the statement, starting March 22 to present, more than 1 thousand people have been brought to the territory controlled by the central Georgia government for medical treatment.
