The number of fixed internet subscribers increased by 57 000 in 2020 and reached one million.

According to the National Communications Commission, the market has been growing for the last three years, and the share of physical persons makes 14%. About 950 000 households use fixed internet. Internet penetration doubled from 45 to 86% after 2013.

International Telecommunication Union (ITU) reports 84% of fixed internet subscribers to use optical technologies.

According to FTTH Council research, Georgia outruns 28 European countries with fibre optic internet subscribers.
