Nobody should harm Georgia’s European path, President says

Georgia should hold democratic elections and nobody must be given the opportunity to harm Georgia’s European path, said President Salome Zourabichvili.

President said during the news briefing that the upcoming local elections had to be free of violence, hate speech, use of private data, fake news or pressure.

She claimed that international partners anticipated exemplary elections from Georgia.  President called on the population for being active at the local elections.

“Democratic and fair elections should be held in this country. Nobody must be given the opportunity to harm Georgia’s European path, neither within the country nor from abroad. I arrived in Georgia with that purpose and will stay here with this objective,” President Zourabichvili stated.
