Nino Lomjaria: OSCE/ODIHR will monitor the selection process of the Supreme Court Judges

According to Public Defender of Georgia Nino Lomjaria, upon the request of the Public Defender of Georgia, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) will monitor the selection process of the Supreme Court Judges.

As Lomjaria said, OSCE/ODIHR consented to the relevant request of the Public Defender’s Office.

“Public Defender of Georgia plans to observe the process of selection of judges and application of main principles and norms regulating the issue in practice. In addition, we have a very important and good news. Upon the request of the Public Defender of Georgia, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) gave consent to monitor the selection process of the Supreme Court Judges” – Nino lomjaria said.
