NBG: Total assets of Georgian commercial banks decreased by 427.12 million GEL in November

As of November 2020, the banking sector in Georgia is represented by 15 commercial banks, including 14 – foreign-controlled banks, reports National Bank of Georgia (NBG).

In October 2020, compared to the previous month, the total assets of Georgian commercial banks (in current prices) decreased by 427.12 million GEL, (or by 0.79 per cent) and constituted 53.92 billion GEL (exchange rate effect excluded above-mentioned indicator increased by 0.61 per cent).

The banking sector’s equity capital equals 5.63 Billion GEL, which makes up 10.44 per cent of the commercial banks’ total assets.
