JTEC and JFTC sign partnership agreement

The NATO-Georgian Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) and NATO Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) signed the partnership agreement, Georgian Defense Ministry reports.

According to the Defense Ministry, the signing ceremony took place in the Bydgoszcz city of Poland remotely.

The Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces Irakli Chichinadze and JFTC Commander Major General Adam Joks inked the document.

The document aims to develop the JTEC and focuses on simulation training of multinational brigades and military units.

“This agreement portrays the existence of more NATO in Georgia. It is noteworthy that 5 positions were created at JTEC to be permanently staffed with military personnel from NATO member countries under the auspices of the NATO Joint Transformation Command (ACT). That would further strengthen the capabilities of the Center and enhance compatibility with NATO,” reads the statement.

The JTEC cooperates with the JFTC in Poland since 2017.
