‘Enterprise Georgia’, LEPL Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has been named as the best export supporter agency at the World Trade Promotions (WTPO) Awards 2020.

The agency won among 18 nominees. The Ministry of Economy released this information.

“This international recognition proves once again that our policy is effective in terms of supporting exporters,” – said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, this is reflected in the growth of exports.

“Despite the pandemic, in September we had an almost 9 per cent increase in exports, in which the contribution of our government and the agency ‘Enterprise Georgia’ is quite large. We assist exporters to better present their products in foreign markets, as well as to adopt and implement international standards, including European standards, to be better represented in the EU market,” – Minister said.

The Award Ceremony, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland. Georgia became one of the winners, along with Sweden and Costa Rica.

This year, the WTPO Awards focused on rewarding excellence in export development initiatives.
