MIA launches investigations into 12 Criminal Cases and 16 Administrative Facts on Election Day

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has launched investigations into 12 Criminal Cases and 16 Administrative Facts on Election Day across Georgia.

Kakhaber Sabanadze, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affair said during the briefing that one of the cases is the incident connected to “Public” journalist in Gldani district opened on charge of illegal impeding to professional duties.

The police detained 9 people including 6 persons regarding the incident in the vicinity of a polling station opened in #39 Public School of Gldani district of Tbilisi.

The 2020 parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 31, 2020.
