MIA arrests suspect of young man’s killing in Tbilisi

Employees of Isani-Samgori Department of Tbilisi Police have detained A.M., DoB 1990, for intentional murder and the attempted murder of two or more persons.

According to the Interior Ministry, the investigation has established that the detainee stabbed his fellows – A.S., Dob 1993, and R.U., DoB 1993, due to jealousy. R.U. died from his injuries, while A.S. has been transferred to hospital.

An investigation is in progress under Article 108 and paragraph 3 of 19-109 Article of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the intentional murder and the attempted murder of two or more persons.

The committed crime envisages from 16 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
