Mass Baptizing Ceremony to be held at Sameba Cathedral

The 55th mass baptizing ceremony will be held today at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi. More than 600 children will become godchildren of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.

Catholicos-Patriarch has 36 102 godchildren. They are the third or next kids of wedded parents. The first baptizing ceremony was held on January 19 of 2008. The initiative of the Patriarch aims at improvement of the demographic situation in the country.
